Enlighten Research Studio (ERS) is a Kyoto-based research and creative studio.
Guided by the perspective of bringing Japan to the world and the world to Japan, we work across leadership and organizational development, bilingual publishing, the revitalization of local assets, and the preservation of cultural and technological heritage.
For companies and business leaders, we provide workshops and executive coaching to support the development of new visions and strategies, as well as the growth of organizations and people.
We also identify the knowledge, experience, and stories accumulated by professionals and entrepreneurs, and develop them into books. From concept development, writing, and editing to publication in both Japanese and English, as well as post-publication promotion and events, we provide integrated publishing production.
In the field of real estate, we work in partnership with KT&M Co., Ltd. to explore new ways of giving value to vacant houses, existing buildings, and other local assets by transforming them into places for living, exchange, and cultural activity. Through the Okazaki Salon, we also create opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds to meet, exchange ideas, and generate new possibilities.
The Okazaki Optical Research Institute studies the history of classic cameras, lenses, and photographic technology. Through hands-on photography, writing, exhibitions, and publishing, it seeks to carry the value of this heritage into the present and the future.
ERS discovers possibilities within people, knowledge, places, and culture, and brings them into society in new forms. By connecting past and present, and Japan and the world, we aim to create value that will endure into the next generation.
