About the Author
Norihiko Minato is the founder of Okazaki Optical Research Institute a Kyoto-based initiative dedicated to the exploration of analog photographic culture, vintage lenses, and the philosophy of seeing. Drawing from his personal archive of classic cameras—including East German SLRs and early Japanese models—Minato blends historical insight with poetic reflection.

He is also the creative mind behind a series of online photo exhibitions, where each project showcases the unique characteristics of different classic film cameras through evocative imagery.
